TrainTrak supports employee enrollment, courses assignment, progress tracking, and record-keeping. Access password-protected for students and training administrators. Training can be administered from any site with access to the Internet. TrainTrak's role-based architecture recognizes the different responsibilities and needs of students and administrators. TrainTrak also lets companies assign employees to departments or groups, and then delegate training activities to local administrators.

TrainTrak records employees’ progress, making it easier to enforce training requirements and document compliance. Employees can see which courses they have completed. Administrators can track course progress using standard reports. TrainTrak also interfaces with third-party report writing programs to produce custom reports.

TrainTrak provides full employee training records management. Employee course completions are stored and retained in a transcript file for permanent retention. TrainTrak uses an ODBC-compliant database product to support all aspects of the training environment. TrainTrak can also interface with a corporate database if desired.

TrainTrak can also deliver other online courses that are SCORM-compliant. SCORM – the Shareable Content Object Reference Model – is an emerging standard for the interoperability and reusability of online courseware. The Advanced Distance Learning group, sponsored by the United States Department of Defense, created SCORM to encourage the standardization of learning management systems.
